So...........I think it's time we should discuss what this project is about.
For a start, let's talk about what is happening right now in a real Wheat-field. The farmer usually collaborates with an agronomist who plays the role of a scientific instructor and develops a specific fertilizer plan for the exact field, while taking into consideration all existing attributes like local micro-climate or previous crops etc.. So he concludes to an average plan and then the farmer executes it as good and precise as he can. So there are two types of precision we will be interested in for now on.
- The question we have to ask ourselves is whether this master-average plan for applying fertilizer in the field is the one that will bring the best and desired results in yield and grain quality or it is too generalized and if only we could sense some data from the field, we could develop some more smaller "local" policies within the field with improved cost/result ratio.
- The second question we have to ask ourselves is whether we can achieve precision execution in whatever policy we have with the existing agricultural machinery or we could use some more technology to stop relying on the farmers experience and senses.
